HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-03-01 Board of Public Works Minutes March 1 , 1972 ' Meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at 7:45 P.M. in the Auditorium of the Community Center , 52 Sanborn Street. Present were Chairman White and Superintendent Louanis. Public Hearing was held at 7 :45 P.M. regarding the pro- posed extension of the main trunk sanitary sewer in the following streets: SHADY HILL LANE - Complete SCOUT HILL LANE - Complete READING TERRACE - Complete BOSWELL ROAD - Complete CANTERBURY DRIVE - Complete GOVERNORS DRIVE - Complete SALEM STREET - Libby Avenue to Bay State Road WINTHROP AVENUE - Hartshorn Street Northerly FRANKLIN STREET - Grove Street to Blueberry Lane LOWELL STREET - Hanscom Avenue to Bancroft Avenue COUNTY ROAD - Wescroft Road Northerly to Summit INTERCEPTOR - Bancroft Avenue to Winthrop Road Seventy-nine persons attended the Hearing. Mr. White requested that the abutters read the data presented them after which the meeting would be open for general questions. Discussed were the alleged penalizing of people in this area who must pay $4.00 per lineal foot, cost of sewer house installations, licensed drain layers and the sewer rental fee. Members of the Engineering Di- vision remained at the conclusion of the Hearing and answered technical questions .
