April 2, 1973
' Meeting of the Board of Public Works convened at 7:55 P.M. in Room 16
Municipal Building.
Present: Chairman Blood, Secretary White, Board Members Dustin, Reed,
Russell and Superintendent Louanis.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted.
Bill roll dated April 6, was signed.
Payroll was signed for the period ending April 1 .
8:00 P.M. Attorney Palleschi advised the Board of the sanitary
conditions prevalent at the Spruce Road home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur
L. Donaghy, Jr. and requested cooperation from the Board to rectify
the situation. Mr. Louis Martinage, an engineer, pointed out the tech-
nical aspects of the problem. After a personal appeal by both Mr. and
Mrs. Donaghy the Board agreed to take the matter under advisement.
10:00 P.M. The Board signed the order for pole location on Grand
Street.
10:02 P.M. Read petition for existing sole owned telephone pole to
become joint owned. Mr. blood abstained. Approved.
10: 10 P.M. Bids were reviewed for Addressing and Embossing System.
It was moved, seconded and voted to award the bid to Pitney Bowes .
10:20 P.M. Bids were reviewed for two new dump trucks. It was moved,
seconded and voted to award the bid to Truck Center, Inc. , the low
bidder, the agreed price being $25,984.00 and we are to retain the
#3 White Truck.
10: 30 P.M. Read letter from Combustion Engineering, Inc. re: Liquidated
Damages . It was decided to table this matter for the moment.
10:45 P.M. Read letter from Municipal Light Department re: Town
Forest Pumping Station Electrical Supply Estimate. It was accepted
as a point of information.
10:55 P.M. The Board accepted and approved SMK Construction, Inc. ,
169 Winn St. , Woburn as a licensed drain Layer subject to the pres-
ent rules and regulations.

11 :00 P.M. The Board signed Order of Taking plans for Street
Acceptances for the following streets: Breton Circle, Brewer Lane,
Colonial Drive, Collins Avenue and Dana Road Extension.
11 : 10 P.M. The Board Reviewed plans for Pine Grove Estates, off
Haverhill Street.
Meeting adjourned at 11 :25 P.M.
