HomeMy WebLinkAbout1973-02-12 Board of Public Works Minutes MINUTES February 12, 1973 Meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at 7:40 P.M. in Room 16, Municipal Building. Present: Chairman White, Secretary Watt, Board Member Reed, and Superintendent Louanis. Billroll was signed dated February 16, 1973• Payroll was signed for the period ending February 4, 1973• Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The Board met with a representative of Combustion Engineering, Inc. to discuss C .E . 's letter dated January 19, 1973 and a memorandum from M. H. Ehler, regarding their proposal to supply personnel to direct the operation of the Incinerator who will make recommendations and initiate changes as needed to improve the overall process, said action to be taken only through proper channels. The Superintendent was instructed by the Board to prepare a scope of work to be done for ' presentation at the next meeting. It was moved, seconded, and voted that, under the Betterment Act, the following streets be accepted for laying out as public ways: Breton Circle, Collins Avenue, Brewer Lane, Colonial Drive, and Dana Road. Schedule for Meetings of the Board was read and approved as follows: February 19 - No Meeting. February 26 - Regular Meeting b First Sewer Hearing. February 28 - Special Meeting E Second Sewer Hearing. March 5 - Regular Meeting - Reorganization. March 12 - Beginning of Town Meeting. Read letter to James Fandel , Personnel Board, regarding promotion of John A. Crotty to Skilled Laborer (Maintenance Man at the Incinerator) who replaces Dennis Treanor . Accepted as a point of information. Meeting adjourned at 9: 15 P.M. Respectfully submitted Secretary
