I Meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at 7:30 P.M.
in Room 16, Municipal Building.
Present were Chairman Blood, Board Members Dustin, Price
and Russell and Superintendent Louanis.
Minutes of the previous meeting were accepted as read by
Secretary pro tem Paul C. Dustin.
Read letter from Lynn Stasz reporting current progress
made by R-E-T-U-R-N . It was accepted as a point of informa-
tion.
Mr. Russell read Notice of Public Hearing at 7:45 P.M.
relative to conduit to be installed by the Municipal Light
Department in Brande Court. Mr . Neil Trulson represented the
Municipal Light Department and explained the need for the con-
duit. No one else attended the Hearing. The Hearing was
closed. It was moved, seconded and voted to grant permission
for the installation of the conduit and the Board signed the
Petition.
The Board adjourned temporarily to meet as the Board of
Survey and reconvened at 8:00 P.M.
Read Notice of Public Hearing relative to drainage
easement off Oak Street at 8:00 P.M. The Superintendent
stated that this easement would serve to solve the problem
currently experienced by property owners on Maple Ridge
Road. No one attended the Hearing. The Hearing was closed.
It was moved seconded and voted to take the easement westerly
from Oak Ridge Road and the Board signed the Order of Taking.
Mr. Reed joined the meeting.
Mr. Donald Pierce and Mr. John Pacino represented the
Recreation Committee while the Superintendent outlined the
operation of the Park Department. Several questions were
presented by the members of the Recreation Committee and
were answered at length by the Superintendent and Members
of the Board.
The Board signed the payroll for the period ending July
7 and the Bill Roll dated July 12. '
Meeting adjourned at 9:30 P .M.
