Meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at 7: 30 P. M.
in Room 16, Municipal Building.
Present were Chairman Russell Secretary Dustin, Board Mem-
bers Blood and Botka, Superintendent Louanis and Finance Com-
mittee Members Donald Trudeau and Michael Haley.
The Board discussed the following Budget Sheets:
Sheet 26 - Street Betterments - accepted subject to Hearing
to be held in February.
Sheet 27 - Main Sewer Construction - Sewer bond issue for
FY-78. The Board discussed the continuation of
the sewer construction program in accordance
with the five year construction plan and it is
anticipated that the program of the sewer main
construction will be completed in calendar year
1980. An analysis of the sewer frontage assess-
ment cost was reviewed by the Board and no
action was taken to change the $4.00 per lineal
foot assessment. This program was approved at a
' $300,00. bonding level .
Sheet 28 - Equipment Replacement - This program was dis-
cussed at great length and the Board requested
more information regarding replacement of cer-
tain vehicles and addition of new ones before
making a final decision.
Sheet 29 - New Park Construction - It was agreed to con-
tinue the $20,000 construction level with a more
detailed program to be developed prior to meeting
with the Finance Committee.
Sheet 30 - Master Drainage Study - It was agreed to contin-
ue the program begun in 1975 and complete it in
1977 with an additional $20,000.
Sheet 31 - Repairs to Mineral Street Bridge - It was agreed
this program could be postponed for another year
deleting $70,000 from the budget.
Sheet 32 - Salt Storage Building - It was agreed this program
could be postponed for another year deleting
$30,000 from the budget.
' It was moved, seconded and voted to adjourn at 10:30 P. M.
