Tuesday, February 5,2019
Pursuant to a meeting legally posted, the meeting of February 5, 2019 convened at 6:05 P.M. in
the Berger Room, 16 Lowell Street, Reading Town Hall.
Present: Virginia Blodgett, Chairman
Ron Stortz,Vice Chairman
William Brown, Secretary
Caitlin Salmon
Absent: Carl McFadden
Also Present: Michael Hannaford, Supervisor
Michael O'Halloran,Administrative Specialist

Review of Past Meetine Minutes
The Minutes of January 8th were reviewed and approved by a vote of 4-0 on a motion by Ron
Stortz and seconded by Caitlin Salmon.
General Business
The Board voted 4-0 to split the lot price; 10%to Sale of Lots,and 90%to Bequests.
The Board did not feel that a tour of the Cemetery Building was needed. Mike Hannaford told
the Board that the staff was pleased with the improvements to the building, and that it is safe,and

warm with the new windows etc. The water at the Building is safe but discolored, the bottled
water will remain.
He stated that after July 1', the department would be getting a new backhoe with a detachable
front bucket,with a set of forks and a plow.
He showed a picture of a storage box for veterans' markets that should save time.
Mike Hannaford also told the Board that several sugar maples have or will be taken down in
Laurel Hill due to age and salt. They will be replaced by salt resistant trees. He also told the
Board that the parking in Laurel Hill is under control by the Safety Officer per Fire Department
request.

The meeting adjourned at 6:30 PM. The next meeting of the Board will be Tuesday, March 5,
2019.
