Riley, David Clark, Kyung Yu, Heather McLean, Susan Gaskell, Josh Goldlust Members- Not Present: Elaine Webb Others Present: Tall Shorr, Carlo Bacci, Janice Grant Menes Minutes Respectfully Submitted By: Heather McLean Josh calls meeting to order at 7:10pm 1. Sharing Experiences a. Carlo Bacci announces he is running for Select Board and is attending to listen and get to know the committee 2. Student Liaison report a. Tali is working on finding students to pass the baton to as she is graduating this spring b. AWOD meeting went well, Ms. Lynch sent an email to Heather outlining students who want to participate/volunteer for MILK Day 3. Police Readout: a. Press release Issues on Parker solved incident b. Incident with Market Basket employee's car being vandalized with racist graffiti c. Police have new Anti-Defamation League contact and plan to begin new training soon 4. MILK 2019 event planning and logistics a. Janice Grant Manes volunteered to help students with poems/readings b. Sign Up Genius link distributed for poster hanging c. Expenses discussed: I. Posters were $60 to print in color !!. Breakfast is being negotiated by Josh, will likely be around $250 from Honey Dew, working to see if we can secure same discount as last year d. Heather and Josh to work on sending invites to elected officials for event via email f. Day of volunteers needed: Greeters, Table Coordinators, Email collectors g. Josh to write/read opening remarks h. Heather to work on making copies of HRAC Niers to distribute at event I. Laura Wilson request to sell Hate Has No Home Here signs at a table at the event 1. Heather moves to allow Laura Wilson to display Hate Has No Home Here signs at a table to promote her organization's purpose, but not expressly to sell signs, if she wishes; Kyung seconds, 6 in favor, motions passes S. Review and vote on past meeting minutes a. Heather moves to approve 12/6 minutes, David seconds, 5 in favor, Josh abstains since he was not present 6. Next meeting confirmed as 1/29/19 7.
