Topics of Discussion:
• Called to order at 7 pm.
Membership - VA was appointed as a voting member by acting chair, RW.
• 79-81 Salem St - Developer has not responded to RHC.
• 287 Ash St - Garage still standing Demo Delay not imposed.
• Post Office Redevelopment Project - JEB spoke to MHC who feels the project should
be pushed back from the front of the structure and decreased by atleast one story. RHC
discussed sending a letter to the town's economic development person. RW will work on
a letter.
• Rules t Regulations - JEB and SRS will work on completing this process.
• Historic Inventory and Property List - RW revised this list and has updated the
Property Names to the list and corrected or added missing reference numbers. RHC
agreed that as soon as pending demolitions are resolved, the updated list will be
submitted to the Building Inspector.
• Finances - JEB reminded RHC to submit all expenses in time for end of year in June.
SRS moved that the RHC spend up to $200 to purchase easel(s) for public displays. VA
seconded. Vote 5-0.
Minutes - JEB motioned to approve the minutes from March B, General Meeting as
amended, JW seconded. Vote 5-0.
New Business
0 119 Salem St - The 2 year delay period has expired. RHC Is not aware that
Demolition permit was ever requested hence the owner would need to go through the
whole process again. A letter will be sent to the Building Inspector regarding this.
o Archives - RW has spent some time organizing the PC
o Visioning Meeting for Congregational Church - VA attended meeting and asked
them to remember it Is a historic building. The congregation Is considering the vision
of the church.
. o RCN - VA attended a meeting regarding the negation of their contract with the town
which Is up for renewal in 2019.
o Reading 2020 Vision VA attended a recent meeting regarding the future of the
green triangle area. IW suggested the use of marshland in their development.
o Garden Club Booth VA suggested using a display to show preservation of spaces not
just buildings.
o Zoning/Visioning Working Group - ]W agreed to be the RHC representative.
