Topics of Discussion: The meeting was called to order at 7:05pm. 1. Minutes from the meeting on May 29, 2018 were reviewed and approved. 2. Town Forest Blazing The Town Forest Committee has approved the blazing plan for the Town Forest trails. Blazing Plan Colors: Purple loop around 702 Campsite (nearest Ipswich River) Yellow loop - Overlook and Cross Country trails Red - Pine Ridge and esker trail (northeast section with view of Ipswich River) 3. Project Planning - Aberjona Trail Fri. 9/28: Cut and pre-assemble boardwalk sections (some people can be there at 10am) Sat. 9/29: 3 -12 year olds with 2 parents have volunteered Tom will check trell/driveway drivability. Lowell to Willow will be blazed red. (If we get the grant, the trail to Hunt Street will be blazed white.) Materials: 4 X 4 ground contact with 4ft sleepers 4 - 10ft. stringers with decking on top Lag bolts through stringer and sleeper (top of bolt needs to be counter-sunk so that decking can be Flush to stringers) Page I 1 On Sat. 9/29: RTC meet at cabin at 9am, volunteers meet at Willow at 10am and/or 2pm Ben will call the Times Chronicle about the project Jean will put on the Facebook page Kim rented the cabin for Friday and Saturday 4. Benches at Bare Meadow John mentioned that the benches on the Bare Meadow trail to the viewing platform are dirty and the plaques are getting rusty. Will will check the faucets behind the cabin to see if they can be used for cleaning. 5. Higgins There is a tree down near Henzie Street. The tree is about 9 - 10 inches in diameter. Will will talk to Butch Conary to see if he can use his chainsaw to take care of it. 6. YCC Kim will submit an article about the new trail.
