The meeting was called to order by Donna Schenkel at 6:370 pm in the Arts and Crafts
Room of the Pleasant Street Senior Center.
Minutes of the previous meeting were approved after with corrections.
Donna reminded everyone to complete the Conflict of Interest training.
Nancy reported on what she found out about our Council sponsoring a project next year.
We can use 15% of our grant for that purpose. Funding of stipends is allowed.
Treasurer's Report was presented. All grant reimbursements have been pain. Statements
were received for July, August and September. There is currently $237.29 left in the
account that can be added to our current grant monies for 2017 Cycle. The voting meeting
calculation sheet was completed and a motion was made to set aside $200 for
administrative expenses, leaving a balance for grants of$6561.00. The motion was
seconded and approved.
A brief discussion about some of the grant applications ensued. All members received the
link to the panel book for our Council, which contains the applications. The total of requests
comes to $15,809. There was discussion about whether some of the applications meet
criteria or not.
Mary Ann and Nancy volunteered to put together a letter and email it to grantees Inviting
them to come to our next meeting and talk about their projects. It was recommended that
the letter reiterate the requirements for consideration.
Donna asked everyone to think about more ways to publicize the RCC and the work we do.
The meeting adjourned at 7:30 pm.
