1) Call to order
2) Old business
a. Acceptance of minutes
Passed by all members of the committee
3) New business
a. WASH liaison update
• Met on the 11th
• Double participation
• Howl safety procedures
• Mindfulness
• Lunch and Recess
• Making everyone aware of the playground share
• Bee Fund- Donating Halloween candy
• Teal Pumpkins- Allergy free safe house
b. Free Little Library
• An anonymous donation was made to Joshua Eaton to purchase a little
library
• We will register as a site
• WE will pick out the mailbox
• We will also need to find a safe place to put it
• In the future, we may register the library, people can leave notes for
our school
• Marianne Downing will check with the Girl Scouts to add to the funds
for an upgrade with the purchase
• It comes painted and it will be red and will look like JE
• It will have a plaque on it
• Possible Geocaching around the Little Library (STEM)

• We should be sending pictures to the newspaper to promote all the
good work at JE
• We could have the book from Laura Richards (Golden Book)
• Lisa will send out the link with the options and we can take a vote
c. Bridge Program Updates
• Phyllis Greene attended the meeting to answer questions
o Timelines for IEP's meetings are being scheduled ahead of time
in order to be clear throughout the year
o All staff members have signed off and reviewed the IEP's and

d. Discuss and Approve School Improvement Plan
• Math is an area of need but it will not be a separate goal
• Literacy is our main objective because it affects all students in all
areas of the curriculum
• Historical Data was briefly looked at
• We still have not reached 98% of an absentee rate
• Plans can be made to support all students
• The goal is to bring awareness to the families and they may find ways
to schedule appointments
• How do we make the students feel comfortable to come In to school?
• What can we do? What do we know?
• Look at what motivates the students
• The fourth grade is having a conversation to help support the younger
students to make them feel more comfortable
• We will look into the specific grade level to see improvements
• Letters are going out tomorrow for any students who are already out
for days, unless it is a major medical issue
• Any student who misses the MCAS test are given the opportunity to
make up the test
• Any student who does not take the test will receive a zero and
• The School Improvement Plan will be posted, and it was improved
