Review Survey Results
130 respondents to survey. Town manager estimates 75-100 is an average response for most town surveys. Most thought
National Anthem and announcements should be allowed.
L.Weir questioned validity of the survey responses. Did not think the survey didn't reflect the stakeholders. Town manager
stated it was advertised as all other town surveys are: newspaper, television, web sites.
Town manager said survey results should betaken for what they are. K.Kaminer said that after the fringe responders on both
arguments were eliminated the results reflected the path of the committee.
Draft Policy
J.Feudo stated the draft policy was in good shape at this stage. See Rule N4.
J.Halsey recommended the deletion of underlined word"occasional"and add"reasonable"without the underline.
K.Kaminer said Rule 4 is good but does not give Recreation Committee detailed guidance.
J.Feudo suggested amending Rule p4 with adding, "While considering location, content, duration, and frequency..." The
committee on whole approved of this amendment and thought it gave the Recreation Committee some flexibility.
P.Con boy stressed that the park should be treated like any other neighbor in terms of acceptable neighbor behavior. All
committee members thought this was a very good premise.
