The meeting was called to order at 7:15pm.
Minutes from the meeting on April 22, 2014 were approved.
1. Budget
Need to determine how to spend money currently in the budget. There are several
projects under consideration.
Dave suggested putting up seasonal posters on the trail kiosks.
It was mentioned that TFC is considering putting in dog waste stations in the Town
Forest.
cranberry Dam Trail project is a good candidate. The committee voted unanimously
to allocate $500 to this project. The project entails fortification of the trail on either
side of the bridge being installed as part of a Boy Scout project. Conservation
Committee needs to approve the design and fill material.
Another suggestion is for a HS student or Boy Scout to do a project which is a phone
app to scan UPC to tell what there is to see in town conservation areas seasonally.
Dave is going to do some research in this area.
Another possible project is to build a boardwalk out to the Ipswich River (in
anticipation to a future pier project).
The committee voted to buy a canopy for projects and events (approx. $200).
Unanimously approved.
