• Board of Cemetery Trustees
Tuesday, January 3, 1995
Pursuant to a meeting legally posted, the meeting of January 3,
1995 convened at 7:30 P.M. in the Arnold Berger Meeting Room,
Reading Town Hall.

Present: John Silvaggi, Chairman
Joyce Miller, Vice Chairman
Daniel F. Driscoll, Secretary
Edward F. Fuller
Mary Vincent
Town Treasurer, Beth Klepeis and Robert Keating, Supervisor of
the Reading Cemeteries, were also present.
1. Secretary Minutes
On a motion by Mr. Fuller, seconded by Ms. Vincent it was unani-
mously voted to accept the Secretary's minutes of the December 6,
1994 Trustees Meeting.
2. Wood End Cemetery Development
Supervisor Keating furnished a detailed report of an engineering
survey, layout and development of 5,000 graves at an estimated
• cost of $400,000.
He received a commitment from the DPW to furnish the required
fill and top soil which would reduce the cost by $100,000.
Mr. Keating advised that the front section (approximately 4,000
graves) could be developed in two-three years if the necessary
funding was obtained.
3. Wood End Fundinc
Ms. Klepeis furnished the Trustees with printouts of the es-
timated cost of obtaining a Bond for $300, 000 with a breakdown of
yearly principal and interest charges for an eight and ten year
period. She also explained Bond Anticipation Notes and the re-
quired two-thirds vote at Town Meeting for a Bond issue.
Ms. Klepeis will draw up the projected cost for a $200,000 Bond
issue for a three year period.
4. Receipts
Supervisor Keating furnished the Trustees with copies of the
receipts from Sale of Lots and Miscellaneous charges for July
1994 through December 30, 1994.

5. New Business
Supervisor Keating reported 126 interments in 1994, an increase
• of one over the preceding year. cremations also increased in
1994.
6. Next Meeting
The next scheduled meeting will be Tuesday, January 31, 1995.
Meeting adjourned at 8:45 P.M.
