Tuesday,June 26, 2018
Pursuant to a meeting legally posted,the meeting of June 26, 2018 convened at 6:00 P.M. in the
Berger Room, 16 Lowell Street,Reading Town Hall.
Present: Elise Ciregna,Chairman
Ron Stortz,Vice Chairman
William Brown, Secretary
Janet Baronian
Virginia Blodgett
Also Present: Vanessa Alvarado, Select Board Member
Paul Scharr,47 Mt Vernon St
Michael O'Halloran,Administrative Specialist
Review of Past Meeting Minutes
The Minutes of May 29, 2018 were reviewed and approved as amended by a vote of 4-0 on a
motion by Ron Stortz and seconded by Janet Baronian.
General Business
Michael O'Halloran explained to the Board how the department will begin to enforce the newly
approve rules and regulation. Items that cause a hazard will be removed starting July 1, 2018.
Then certain items that are in violation will be tagged and will be removed on July 30, 2018.

Lastly items such as vigil lights, shepherd hooks, etc. will be tagged and will be removed starting
November 1, 2018. He stated that staff knows many of the people that decorate graves in Wood
End and can work with them.
Mr Scharr inquired if historic or other information could be put on the Cemetery Find website.
Michael O'Halloran explained that he felt it could be,but it would not be made public because it
is still private information. The Board suggested that Mr Scharr considerjoining the Board.
Vanessa Alvarado stated she would like a tour of the Cemetery Garage to see for herself the need
for a new building, given she felt that the proposed"consolidated"DPW is years out.
Michael O'Halloran shared e-mails etc. from citizens cwncemed about the new rules, and
explained that many of the concerns where covered in the former rules.
Adjourn
The meeting adjourned at 7:01 PM. The next meeting of the Board will be Tuesday, September
11,2018 due to Election Day.
