The meeting was called to order at 7:38pm.
1. Minutes from the meeting on Jan 23, 2018 were reviewed and approved.
2. Earth Day
The Trails Committee will participate at Parker Middle School on April 21.
Friends and Family Day is June 16. Not sure if we will participate since Dave and
Jean will not be there.
3. Trail Maintenance
There are many trails that need clearing from storm damage. Trails in Bare Meadow,
the Town Forest, and Kurchian need chainsaws.
We will meet Saturday March 31 at Mattera cabin at 9am to start clearing. Tom will
send email to volunteers. Depending on how many people show up, we will split up
to cover as many areas as we can. Possible second work day of April 7.
4. Town Forest Trail Maintenance
Tom mentioned that there is interest in removing some of the red pines near the
Council Ring.
We also need to come up with a blazing plan for the Town Forest.
Meet Friday April 20 to walk the Town Forest to determine what needs to be done.
S. Budget
We have $950 to spend before June 30.
