Kindergarten Screening:
The School Committee is meeting on March 19th to further discuss the North/South campus
option for the half-day kindergarten students attending during the 2018-19 school year. The
elementary school principals are meeting this week to look at data about students'
performance using the integrated model. Kindergarten screening is tentatively set for late
May/early June. There are still various options for screening being discussed, including
holding the screening at each of the elementary schools as well as having a. centralized
screening process. More details will be sent to families once these decisions re finalized.
School Improvement Plan:
As a follow-up to the last meeting, Jackie Pel usi .discussed that they had submitted a survey
for the teachers to complete. As part of the school improvement plan, the teachers wanted
to have an.opportunity to observe other teachers. The survey was sent out for teachers to
indicate what they would like to observe. Jackie is going to summarize the information, and
then Melissa will put together a sign-up genius to have parents. volunteer in classrooms to'
provide support for the teachers during the observation time (1 -hour blocks).
This is reflected in the school's goals:

practices and interventions which will close the achievement gap with our students our students in the high
