Meeting was called to•order at 6:06 PM at Town Hall.
Meeting minutes from 10-2-17 approved as amended.
Kevin Gerstner will present a report on building consumption and explain _the reasons for
specific- buildings anomalies.
Greg Stepler asked if we could graph ambient conditions normalizing for weather..Kevin will
present this at the next meeting.
Town land and DPW land were discussed for a cemetery garage.
Greg Stepler feels a report should be put together siting all the locations and the proposed
sites.
Mr. Brown mentioned the cemetery garage is not in the capital -plan.
Greg Stepler mentioned a consultant was hired to look at the combined Reading/Wakefield
Camp Curtis Facility.
Patrick Tompkins thought we should hold on pursuing any additional work -on the cemetery
garage.
Motion to.suspend all further investigation on the cemetery garage - motion carried 5-1.
(Bill Brown not in favor.)
Mr. Brown voiced his opinion, he feels combining makes no sense from a financial
standpoint. They need to be separate.

Building Condition Assessment was discussed. The assessment tool was viewed on the.
projector.
Between now and the next meeting, the tool format will be finalized and this tool will.be
used on the tours of all buildings and an overall summary/narrative canbe drawn out.
The survey report,.will be kept on a secure folder on the town server by building.
The committee will combine the, equipment list in school dude to populate the spreadsheet.
The sources on the checklist needs to be changed to:

Greg Stepler asked if the information could be uploaded onto the town.'server and is it
password protected.
Permanent Building Committee (PBC) will. need access.
Joe -Huggins will ask about hiring an intern to assist in the process.
PBC talked about breaking up into three teams of two.to.perform assessments once
checklist is finalized.
John Coote asked - do we assess just on what is existing or what future ramifications could
be?
A question was asked whether or not to note if building. complies with current codes or not
The committee discussed finalizing template between, now and December meeting and try to
populate checklist by January meeting..
Future meeting dates discussed to. possibly move days,. It was decided to hold the
December 4th date for next meeting but further discuss this issue.
A question was asked - what lead to ratings from 'MSBA? Why is Killam a 3 and Coolidge a 2
and so on?
Kevin Cabuzzi informed committee that the design for Wood End skylights is almost
complete.
Next meeting on December 4, 2017, Town Hall - Conference Room at 6:00 PM.
