Welcome! Any quick announcements or questions? • Any questions? Talked about the -Understanding Disabilities assembly with Chad Hymas Explained and discussed Challenge day and the positive impact it has on the 8th grade students. • Students take a survey after ChallengeDayand Sarah offered to share the results at the next meeting. II. MCAS Presentation: School and District Data and Data driven dialogue about MCAS Results • Reviewed PowerPoint slides that introduced changes to the MCAS reports • Looked at data and made observations: o More 7th graders meeting and exceeding expectations o 6th Grade highest in partially meeting and lowest in exceeding expectations o 7th Grade had the highest amount of SGP o Girls SGP is performing higher than boys on ELA .o When looking at data this is last year's grade levels .o SGP was going up in 2015 and 2016 and then the test changed. o High needs and Students with Disabilities SGP sub groups are exceeding all students in 7th grade. o Not as much as a gap, with male and females SGP with Math as there was with ELA. o Advancing above 50 SGP in 7th and 8th grade.. o Coolidge is performing higher than the state in proficient on Science o Coolidge, and Parker are outperforming the state. • Spring 2018 Science will be computer based.
