The meeting was called to order at 7:06pm.

1. Minutes from the meeting on February 22, 2017 were reviewed and approved.
2. Walk Reading Weekend
The date for Walk Reading Weekend has been set to Sat/Sun May 20/21.
Dave Williams is leading the "Birds Before Breakfast" walk from Mattera Cabin on
Sunday.
Jean Jacobs will lead a Town Forest walk on Sat at loam from the Wood End school.
Will Finch will lead a walk on the Evergreen trail Sat at 12 noon starting at Kylie
Drive.
Tom Gardiner will lead a walk in Bare Meadow on Sun at fpm starting at the cabin.
WR will lead a Reading Ramblers walk on Sat at 10:30am, location is TBD.
Jean will publish information about the weekend on the Trails Facebook page and on
Patch.
Can Pat Lloyd send the information through the schools?
3. Earth Day
We should promote Walk Reading Weekend at the Earth Day event.
Trails will have a table at the event which is Sat Apr 22 at Parker middle school
loam - 2pm.

Kim Honetschlager will bring copies of Grace's Trails guide for sale.
Tom Gardiner will be floating between the Trails and Town Forest tables.
John Parsons will be at the Trails table loam - 12noon.
Dave Williams will be at the Trails table 12noon - 2pm.
Will Finch will be at the event for the duration and will bring the turtle.
4. Boy Scout Project
Dave Williams took Ben Vanasse to indicate possible locations for Screech Owl boxes.
5. Maillet Area
Scout out possible trail from Willow Street to Hunt and maybe to Lowell St.
We will need at least one 25 ft. bridge across the Aberjona River. We may also need
another shorter bridge.
Site visit: Sat Apr 8 at 9am, meet at the end of Hunt St.
6. Connecting WR Walks and Trails
WR will have map with neighborhood walks. The map will be laminated so that dry
erase markers can be used to show people walking routes that include neighborhood
walks and trails.
7. Budget
We have $750 to spend. We need to come up with a list of supplies to buy. We need
things like decking, corrugated pipes, 2X10 boards, hardware, etc.
8. Trails Conference
The director still has not gotten back to Tom about having us present at the next
conference. Tom will email her.
