MASS, 2011 FEB 23 P t=4 Location: Superintendent Conference Room John Doherty Mary DeLai Craig Martin Bob LeLacheur, Town Manager Jim Cormier, Police Chief Minutes Respectfully Submitted By: John Doherty, Superintendent Topics of Discussion: Executive Session 8:57 p.m. A. Call to Order Chair Croft called the Executive Session to order in the Superintendent's Office. School Safety & Security Update Superintendent Doherty updated the Committee on the recent canine search at Reading Memorial High School. This was the third unannounced canine search conducted and it went very smoothly. Chief Cormier shared that these drills are taken very seriously and the schedule is keep very quiet. 25 random classrooms were selected, the students vacated and the dogs entered. The dogs are not detecting a lot in these searches. Chief Cormier left the meeting at 9:14 p.m. Litigation Update Superintendent Doherty updated the Committee on the status of the TLT litigation case. Hearing resume on May 11h. TLT rejected the settlement offer and the Superintendent indicated they may settle for $1M. Page i 1 Mr. LeLacheur snared that the Town may still be owed money from the MSBA to close out the project. The Town Accountants are reviewbog the accounts to determine what expenses are reimbursable. The- MSBA reimbursement would allow the town to increase the settlement offer. Collective Bargaining Dr. Doherty feels that the last meeting was positive and reviewed the tentative agreement. The items that still need to be worked out are meetings and money. Approval of Minutes Mr. Caruso moved, seconded by Mrs. Borawski, to approve the executive session minutes dated April 7, 2014. The roll call vote was 6-0. Mr. Robinson, Mrs. Webb, Mrs. Borawski, Mr. Croft, Mr. Caruso and Mrs. Snow Dockser. Adjourn Mr. Caruso moved, seconded by Mr. Robinson, to adjourn and return to open session.
