The Town Manager opened the floor for nominations to be acting Chair for the meeting.
On a motion by Eric Burkhardt seconded by Vanessa Alvarado the name of Paula Perry as nominated.
On a motion by Eric Burkhardt seconded by Vanessa Alvarado nominations were closed.
On a motion by Eric Burkhardt seconded by Vanessa Alvarado, Paula Perry was elected Chair by a 5-0-
0 vote.
Chair Paula Perry attempted to contact member Anne Johnson Landry in order to establish remote participation
but was unable to do so.
Bob LeLacheur reviewed the settlement agreement that was being handed out to Town Meeting members, and
briefly described Article 3 (Capital Plan) and Article 4 (Approving agreement & funding) for the upcoming Town
Meeting.
Peter Lydecker moved to recommend the substance of Article 3, seconded by Paula Perry and
approved by a 5-0-0 vote.
The Town Manager explained how capital projects needed to be deferred in order to fund the debt service on
$3 million of the settlement costs.
Eric Burkhardt moved to recommend the substance of Article 4 in the amount of $5,196,604.94,
seconded by Paula Perry and approved by a 5-0-0 vote.
The Town Manager mentioned that the previously scheduled December 15`h FINCOM meeting was cancelled
after a discussion with Chair Mark Dockser and Vice Chair Paul McNeice.
Paula Perry moved to adjourn at 7:25pm, seconded by Eric Burkhardt and approved by a 5-0-0 vote.
