r Board of Selectmen Meeting - 6/28/88
Members present: Chairman Nigro, Vice-Chairman Graham, Secretary
Ziegler, Selectmen Russell, Town Manager Hechenbleikner, Town
Counsel Cohen. Executive Session convened at 12 o'clock mid-
night. The Town Manager indicated that a review of the van
driver's position indicated an upgrade from Grade 2 to Grade 3
would be appropriate. This would be in accordance with the union
contract. On motion by Russell, seconded by Graham, the Board
approved the upgrade of the position of Van Driver to Grade 3 by
a vote of 4-0-0.
The Town Manager presented a proposed settlement of the workers
comp case with Thomas Morgan. The proposal would be to have a
lump sum settlement in the amount of $24,000 for this case. The
Town Manager pointed out that we had paid $43 , 000 on this case
through 3/31/88. Mr. Morgan would have another two or two and
one-half years of workers comp at a rate of $18, 000 per. year.
The Town would be reimbursed eventually for seventy percent of
the total expenses. On motion by Russell, seconded by Ziegler,
the Board approved the settlement of this case by a vote of 4-0-
0.
On motion by Ziegler, seconded by Russell, the Board voted to
come out of executive session on a roll call vote with all mem-
bers in agreement. On motion by Ziegler, seconded by Graham, the
Board voted to adjourn at 12:30 a.m.
