September 19, 1990
Present were Chairman Graham, Vice Chairman Ensminger, Secretary
Hines, Selectmen Nigro and Hoyt, Town Manager Peter I .
Hechenbleikner, and the following list of guests: Nathan C.
White, Frederick VanMagness, Gerry MacDonald, Mary Williams, War-
ren Hopkins, Lynn M. Bak, Barbara Philbrick, Richard Coco, Nick
Agneta, Bill Burditt, Carol Lyons, Bob Munnelly, Beth Klepeis.
After reviewing the potential impact of the CLT petition and our
current financial status, the Board of Selectmen and School Com-
mittee agreed that their negotiating position would be a three-
year contract with zero (0) increase in the first and second
years, and a re-opener in the third year. A consistent revised
revenue sheet from the Finance Committee will be produced so that
the same information in the same form is dispensed to municipal
and school employees. The School Committee representatives asked
the Board of Selectmen to consider instituting a trash fee to
make up for the shortfall projected, and the Board of Selectmen
asked for that request in writing.
On motion by Ensminger, seconded by Hoyt, the Board voted to ad-
journ the executive session at 8:37 p.m. by a positive vote of
all five members present. On motion by Burditt, seconded by
Hoyt, the Finance Committee voted to come out of Executive Ses-
sion at 8: 37 p.m. with the positive votes of all six members.
The Executive Session adjourned at 8: 37 p.m.
