Executive Session
November 2, 1993
The meeting was convened at 10:26 p.m. Present were Chairman
George Hines, Vice Chairman Eugene Nigro, Secretary Sally Hoyt,
Selectmen Bill Burditt and Dan Ensminger, Town Manager Peter
Hechenbleikner, Public Works Director Ted McIntire.
Approval of Minutes
There were not minutes to report.
Ted McIntire reviewed his memo on RESCO. We should have an
answer within the next week to two weeks on the final disposition
of the case.
The Board reviewed Ted Cohen's memo regarding South Street. The
Parking, Traffic and Transportation Task Force will continue to
review the issue of cut through traffic. There will be no fur-
ther contact with the community group until after the decision on
the case.
The Town Manager reviewed the proposed clerical contract for
FY94. The clerical union has requested a 1.5% increase effective
July 3, and a 2% increase effective January 1. The cost for FY94
will be 2.5% which is within guidelines. The Town Manager indi-
cated that his concern would be with the build up of the base.
The Board agreed that we should stay with the straight 2 .5% as
has been previously proposed.
The Board discussed the Pearl Street School negotiations. The
direction was to stick with the request that they mow the field
area, include #2 in the purchase and sales agreement, leave site
lighting up to the tenants, drop #4 out of the purchase and
sales agreement, and push for the $8, 000 per unit with some con-
dition that if they get the historic tax credits that we would
benefit from that.
On motion by Ensminger seconded by Burditt the Board voted to ad-
journ the Executive Session at 11:36 p.m. All five members voted
in the affirmative and the motion was carried.
Respectfully submitted,
Secreta
