HomeMy WebLinkAbout1993-10-05 Board of Selectmen Executive Session Minutes Board of Selectmen Meeting Executive Session October 5, 1993 The meeting was convened at 10: 03 p.m. Present were Chairman George Hines, Vice Chairman Eugene Nigro, Secretary Sally Hoyt, Selectmen Bill Burditt and Dan Ensminger, Town Manager Peter Hechenbleikner. On motion by Nigro seconded by Ensminger the minutes of September 21, 1993 were approved as amended by a vote of 5-0-0. The Board reviewed the status of two alleged cases of sexual abuse. One. has been resolved through retirement and the other case is pending. The Board reviewed the South Street situation. They decided to let the court date at the end of October proceed. Town Counsel is confident that it will be successful. Beyond that mediation may be appropriate. No further meetings are scheduled. The Board discussed the Longwood proposals. The Board's direc- tion was to maximize the return from the property without jeapor- dizing this deal. We should have a trigger if the school moves to generate more income to the Town. With regard to labor negotiations, the Board was concerned about granting the Quinn Bill and a 4.5% increase in FY95 for the Police. On motion by Ensminger seconded by Burditt the Board voted to ad- journ at 10:45 p.m. All five members present voted in the af- firmative and the motion was carried. Respectfully submitted, Aecrery
