On motion by Burditt seconded by Hoyt the minutes of April 12,
1994, were approved as amended by a vote of 5-0-0.
On motion by Hoyt seconded by Burditt the minutes of May 24 ,
1994, were approved by a vote of 4-0-1 with Ensminger abstaining.
The Town Manager reviewed the proposed contract with the Dis-
patchers. It is a one year contract with the 4. 5% increase, and
several minor language changes. The Town Manager asked for con-
sensus from the Board that they would approve the contract when
it formally comes before them on July 12 . The Board indicated
that the contract looked good, but if anybody had any concerns
they would get back to the Town Manager by Friday. This proce-
dure will enable the Town to go ahead and pay the new contract
amounts effective with the payroll of the 15th, and process the
payroll prior to formal acceptance of the contract by the Board
of Selectmen. This is all subject to ratification of the con-
tract by the Dispatchers.
The Town Manager reviewed the status of the Engineers/Water
Treatment Plant contract. He noted that there may be agreement
as early as Thursday, but if the Board has not approved it prior
to the end of the fiscal year then the employees will have to
wait until next fall for the retroactive pay for FY94 . The Board
agreed that they would be willing to meet on Monday evening at
approximately 8 : 00 p.m. or 8 : 30 p.m. if needed. If the issues
cannot be resolved in that time frame, then the employees will
have to wait until next fall.
On motion by Burditt seconded by Hoyt the Board voted to adjourn
the meeting at 11: 31 p.m. On a roll call vote all five members
voted in the affirmative and the motion was carried.
Respectfully submitted,
