Acceptance of minutes from October 5 meeting: ✓ Priscilla Hollenbeck motioned to accept. ✓ Michelle Greenwalt accepted. 2. Update on school happenings ✓ Gr 8 Challenge Day o Will follow up with several activities throughout the year (during Flex time). o Next year this work would take place in small groups through advisory. This will be included in the schedule changes for next year o Brendan Norton has a sign up for students interested in working on "Being the Change" o Students participated in a survey prior to challenge day, the week after and they will again later in the winter/early spring ✓ Gr 7 Nature's Classroom o Activities that students participated in were discussed ✓ Gr 6 Project Adventure o Activities the students participated in were discussed 3. School Improvement Plan 2016-2017 (final) -Discuss progress toward goals ✓ Advisory work: collecting information from different programs ✓ Teams have systems of recognition in place — these are discussed at Leadership Team meetings. ✓ Data team facilitators received and will continue to receive training through our consultant with the May Institute (Marcie Handler). Page 1 1 ✓ Our next data meetings will be held on Wednesday, November 9. ✓ Teachers will have access to the DCAP during data meetings. ✓ Data meeting conversations will be followed-up in regularly scheduled team meetings. ✓ Differentiated Instruction: Both Nov. PD days are focused on differentiated instruction, several teachers are taking courses in differentiated instruction outside of school time Page 1 2
