Street Faire was discussed: went successfully, new member interested in joining, Linda to meet them this coming week. 20+ new email subscribers added during faire. Update on student proposal for Library programs: Most likely timing will be spring after MLK day; spotlight article to be done on this, should be published 2-3 weeks before event, will need —6 weeks lead time. Ruthie taking lead on this with Jess. No update on senior video project; Christine and Jess to solidify question by end of next week (w/o 10/10) Update on meeting with Clergy Council: Very supportive of the HRAC; they will send our survey out to their congregations, and also write letters of support for our efforts in transitioning to a commission organizational model MLK Celebration Discussion: • October 11d' deadline for Community Connection — Heather to send info for a "save -the -date" to Maureen Knight • Vote for "Liberty and Justice for All!" as the theme: Heather moved, Linda 2nd, in favor • Work to continue on outreach to various groups to get commitments for performers and groups that will participate Minutes approved for 9!7 meeting: Kyung moved, Linda 2nd, 4 in favor Meeting adjourned: Linda moved, Kyung 2"d, 4 in favor Page I 1
