HomeMy WebLinkAbout2008-02-12 Board of Selectmen Executive Session Minutes Board of Selectmen Meeting Executive Session February 12, 2008 The meeting convened at 10:55 p.m. in the Selectmen's Meeting Room, 16 Lowell Street, Reading, Massachusetts. Present were Chairman James Bonazoli, Vice Chairman Stephen Goldy, Secretary Ben Tafoya, Selectmen Camille Anthony and Richard Schubert, Town Manager Peter Hechenbleikner and Assistant Town Manager/Finance Director Bob LeLacheur. Labor Negotiations The Town Manager reviewed the Reading Fire Fighter's Association contract proposal effective July 1,2007 expiring June 30, 2010. On motion byTafoya seconded by Goldy, the Board of Selectmen voted to approve the contract between the Town of Reading and the Reading Fire Fighter's Association effective July 1, 2007 and expiring June 30, 2010 and to authorize the Town Manager to sign on the Board's behalf. On a roll call vote all five members voted in the affirmative and the motion was carried. The Town Manager reviewed the Reading Police Superior Officer's Association contract. On motion by Tafoya seconded by Goldy, the Board of Selectmen voted to approve the contract between the Town of Reading and the Reading Police Superior Officer's Association effective July 1, 2007 and expirm June 30, 2010 and to authorize the Town Manager to sign on the Board's behalf. On a roll call vote, all five members voted in the affirmative and the motion was carried. Approval of Minutes On motion by Tafova seconded by Anthony, the Board voted to approe the Executive Session Minutes of December 18 2007 as amended. On a roll can vote all five members voted in the affirmative and the motion was carried. On motion by Tafoya seconded by Goldy, the Board of Selectmen voted to approve the Executive Session Minutes of January 22, 2008, as amended. On a roll can vote, all five members voted in the affirmative and the motion was carried. On motion by Schubert seconded by Goldy, the Board voted to a(Uourn _the Executive Session Meeting of February 12, 2008 at 11:12 p.m. on a roll can vote with all five members voting in the affirmative.
