Litieation Update Joan Langsam reviewed her memo of June 23, 2005. She noted that Reading really has very little litigation. Most of what.they do have is related to development issues. In addition to the items listed in her memo, she did review two insurance cases — the Nancy Eaton case and the other case with Joey Joseph — a MBTA train engineer who was involved in an accident in Reading. Both are being handled ably by counsel for the insurance company. Joan Langsam also noted that the outside attorney is working on Memorial Park issues.. The Town Manager reviewed the discussion that is taking place relative to try and relocate Ash Street to Main Street in the area of the railroad tracks. The property that we are looking at is trying to work something out with the owner/buyer/tenant at 329 Main Street. The tenant is Jiffy Lube. The Board of Selectmen supported moving forward with trying to secure the necessary land in order to make this improvement.
