Board of Selectmen Meeting
Executive Session
December 3, 1996
The Executive Session convened at 10:44 p.m. Present were Chairman George Hines, Vice
Chairman Camille Anthony, Secretary Bruce MacDonald, Selectmen Dan Ensminger and Sally
Hoyt and Town Manager Peter Hechenbleikner.
Approval of Minutes
On motion by Anthony seconded by Ensminger, the Board voted to approve the Executive
Session minutes of November 6, 1996, on a roll call vote with Hines, Anthony, MacDonald and
Ensminger in favor, and Hoyt abstaining.
On motion by Hoyt seconded by Anthony, the Board voted to approve the Executive Session
minutes of November 13, 1996, on a roll call vote with all five members voting in the affirmative.
On motion by Hoyt seconded by Anthony, the Board voted to approve the Executive Session
minutes of November 25, 1996, on a roll call vote with all five members voting in the affirmative.
The Town Manager brought the Board up-to-date on the fact that Mr. Molyneaux has now at
least verbally agreed to sell his property to the Town for $175,000 for construction of the Police
Station. The Town Manager has submitted a written offer previously, and is drafting a letter to be
signed by Mr. Molyneaux. One of the conditions is that the Town offer the 10 feet next to the
Bogaert property for sale to Mr. Bogaert once the Town has acquired the property. This would
be a fair market value. The Board felt that this was the appropriate solution to this issue, and
directed the Town Manager to do whatever is necessary to get papers signed prior to the hearing
on December 11, 1996. George Hines asked if the Board is willing to also consider acquiring the
Russell property. The Russells are a willing seller, and this could expand the parking. The Board
did not rule out the future purchase of the property for parking, but did not want to connect it
with this project.
On motion by MacDonald seconded by Anthony, the Board voted to adjourn the Executive
Session at 11:00 p.m. on a roll call vote, with all five members voting in the affirmative.
Respectfully submitted,
Lary
