Tanner Dative in the Town ob Reading, Massachusetts. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. Richard S. DempdteA, the Chairman, presided. Other members present and 6orming a quorum were: Arthur J. Reynolds, Witham E. McIzaac and Jean H. Gatvin. The Executive DireetoA, MaAagret K. Ptans ky, was alz o pre.5 ent at the meeting. The Board membetz welcomed the newly appointed member, Jean Galvin, to the Hoard. The Chai&man introduced Mr. Robert K. Sweet, J4., who is interested in jilting the other Board vacancy. Mr. Sweet gave a briej hi6tory of his backgtound: currently is Senior Pastor at Old South United Methodist Church in Reading; previou6ty was Diztkict Supekintendent in Easthampton, Connecticut; worked with Youth Service Center, Visiting Nurse Association; assisted Went Spking6ield Housing Authokity Director in developing a housing complex in the community. Current intenezt would be the match the need Rev. Sweet currently sees 6or Congregate Elderly care in the Town o6 Reading. The Board thanked Rev. Sweet 6oA meeting with them and would make theiA Aeeommendatt.on to the Board o6 Selectmen 6oA appointment. Upon a motion duly made by MA. Reynolds and seconded by Mr. Mclzaac, it was unanimourty VOTED: To Aeeommend Reverend Robert K. Sweet, JA. to Fitt the term currently vacant on the Housing Authokity Board at the Board o4 Selectmen'z meeting on January 24, 1989; appointment to be made by the Board o4 Selectmen. The Chairman then declared said motian caAtied and said vote in e4ject. Finances The Board reviewed the eheckzlbillroll through check #1797 as presented. Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Reynoldz and seconded by Mr. McIzaac, it was unanimously VOTED: to approve the check /billroll through #1797 as prezented. The Chairman then declared said motion ca&&ied and said vote in ej6eet. Upon a motian duly made by Mr. Reynolds and seconded by MA.
