HomeMy WebLinkAbout1992-02-10 Reading Housing Authority MinutesREADING HOUSING AUTHORITY Minutes of the Meeting of February 10, 1992 A regular business meeting of the members of the Reading Housing Authority was held on February 10, 1992 at the office of the Authority, 22 Frank D. Tanner Drive in the Town of Reading, Massachusetts. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. with William E. McI aac presiding. Other members present and forming a quorum were: Mr. Reynolds and Mr. Allen. The Executive Director, Ms. Plansky, was also in attendance. Minutes Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Reynolds and seconded by Mr. Allen, it was unanimously VOTED: To approve the minutes of the meeting of January 27, 199 for the record. The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. Finannoc The Board reviewed the billroll /checkroll for the period. Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Allen and seconded by Mr. Reynolds, it was unanimously VOTED: To approve and sign the checkroll /billroll for the period from check #3922 -3949 as presented. The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. Subsidy Overpayment - State Projects The Board reviewed-the request from the Executive Office of Communities and Development for the subsidy overpayment for the 667 and 705- 1 developments. Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Reynolds and seconded by Mr. Allen, it was unanimously VOTED: To return to EOCD the sum of $25,869 for overpayment of subsidy for 705 development in the maount of $3869.60 and 667 in the amount of $22,000. Said total was reviewed and approved by the fee accountant and the Executive Director. The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. Computer Purchase i The Board reviewed the data on the acquisition of the computer system for the Authority. A demonstration was given by Coughlin Associates of Duxbury showing the software for housing authority programs. Estimates for both hardware /software from this vendor was approxi ately $8500. The computer sub - commitee will report to the Board again at their March meeting. Page 2 Minutes 2/10/92 Section 8 Administrative Plan The Board reviewed the changes to the Section 8 Administrative Plari. Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Reynolds and seconded by Mr. Allen,Ill it was unanimously VOTED: To approve the changes as presented to the Section 8 Administrative Plan including the incorporation of the federal regulation for dru related criminal activity and violent criminal activity. The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote in effect- Annual Report Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Reynolds and seconded by Mr. Allen, it was unanimously VOTED: To approve the Annual Report as presented and submit it to the Board of Selectmen for the Town's Annual Report. The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. Meetinq Schedule The Board reviewed the calendar for March and the next Board meeeti g will be held on Monday, March 16, 1992 at 7:30 P.M.
