HomeMy WebLinkAbout1993-09-13 Reading Housing Authority MinutesREADING HOUSING AUTHORITY Minutes of the Meeting of September 13, 1993 A regular business meeting of the members of the Reading Housin Authority was held on Monday, September 13, 1993 at 7:30 P.M. at the office of the Authority, 22 Frank D. Tanner Drive in the Town of Reading, Massachusetts. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. with the Chairman, Mr. McIsaac, presiding Those members present and forming a quorum were: Mr. Allen, Ms. Galvinand Mr. Sweet. The Executive Director, Ms. Plansky, was also in attendance. Minutes Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Sweet and seconded by Mr. Allen, it was unanimously VOTED: To approve and accept for the record the minutes of the Meeting of August 12, 1993, as presented. The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. Vinnnncc The Board reviewed the checkroll /billroll and landlord payroll for the period as presented. Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Allen and seconded by Ms. Galvin it was unanimously 4 VOTED: To approve and sign the checkroll /billroll for the period from check #1053 -1158, as presented. The Chairman then declared said motion carried and.said vote in effect. Consolidation of Bank Accounts Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Allen and seconded by Ms. Galvin it was unanimously VOTED: To approve the consolidation of the 705 -1 Management and the 705 -2 Management accounts at the Bank of Boston with the 667 Management account at that bank and to rename the new account the "Conventional Housing Program" account. This is due to EOCD's consolidation of all conventional programs. The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. Personnel Policy Change Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Sweet and seconded by Mr. Allen it was unanimously Page 2 Minutes 9/1493 VOTED: To approve the expenditure of up to $600 for uniforms for steel -toed shoes for the two maintenance personnel as well as an extra shirt for any part -time or contract Yelp. The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. Pearl Street School Reuse The Board discussed several options for the required linkage with the reuse of the Pearl Street School as an Assisted Living Facility, as currently proposed. The Executive Director was asked to investigate the Assisted Living program and other options for the Authority. Mr. Reynolds served on the sub- committee to evaluate the proposed reuse of this building. A report from Mr. Reynolds as to what the current status is and the proposed linkage for this development should be request from Mr. Reynolds for the next meeting. Report of Programs The Executive Director distributed and discussed the status at each development as well as any anticipated turnovers and problems. The minutes outlining the Greenhouse Acres linkage requirement will not be released until all matters associated with this are fully finalized. Meeting Schedule The next regular business meeting of the Authority will be held on the first Monday in October (10/4) at 7:30 P.M. at the office of the Authority. Ms. Plansky will be on an extend vacation leave from October 6th through November 1, 1993. Mr. Sweet will not be able to make the October meeting.
