HomeMy WebLinkAbout1995-03-22 Reading Housing Authority MinutesREADING HOUSING AUTHORITY Minutes of the Meeting of March 22. 1995 A special meeting of the members of the Reading Housing Authority was held on Monday, March 22, 1995 at the Conference Room in Town Hall, in the Town of Reading, Massachus The meeting was called to order with the Vice- Chairman, Mr. Sweet, presiding. Those mer present and forming a quorum were: Ms. Galvin and Mr. Allen. The Executive Director, M Plansky, was also in attendance. Other persons present were: Board of Selectmen members; Daniel Ensminger, Chairman; George Hines, Camille Anthony, Sally Hoyt and newly - elects member Bruce MacDonald and Town Manager Peter Hechenbleikner; as well as Longwood Senior Living, Inc. represented by partners Bill Casper and Ed Leavitt and John Lind from Parkside Company. Upon a roll call vote and upon a motion duly made by Mr. Allen and seconded by Ms. Gai" was voted to adjourn to Executive Session at 6:05 P.M. for the purpose of discussing real e; matters and possible legal action and to reconvene in public session following adjournment Executive Session upon the following roll call vote: Ms. Galvin - aye Mr. Allen - aye Mr. Sweet - aye The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. The members reconvened in open session at 7:05 P.M. Minutes Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Allen and seconded by Ms. Galvin, it was unanimously VOTED: To accept and approve for the record the minutes of the Meeting of March 13, 195 presented. The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Allen and seconded by Ms. Galvin, it was unanimously VOTED: To approve and sign the payroll for the period from check #613 -637, as The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Allen and seconded by Ms. Galvin, it was unanimously , it to 5, as VOTED: To approve the new allocation from HUD for the Family Self - Sufficiency Prograr i for Program Coordination and the Family Resource Coordinator, and sign the Annual Contribu ions Contract, Project #MA06 -E075 -019, in the amount of $23,250 for the same and to forward 110 the Page 2 Minutes 3/22/95 Town Manager and EOCD for their approvals before submission to HUD. The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. Upon a motion duly made by Mr. Allen and seconded by Ms. Galvin, it was unanimously VOTED: To approve the Eligibility Income Limits for the Mass. Rental Voucher Program, effective March 1, 1995, as follows: 1 person $ 14,940 2 persons 20,000 3 persons 25,180 4 persons 30,300 5 persons 35,420 6 persons 40,540 7 persons 45,660 8 persons 50,780 Over 8 persons Add $5,120 for each additional household The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote in effect. There being no further business before the Board, it was unanimously voted to adjourn at 7:1 P.M. until the next meeting of the Board scheduled for April 10, 1995 or sooner if required f proceedings relative to the Pearl Street school reuse or other matters.
