Associate Positions
On a motion by Ensminger seconded by Berman, the VASC voted 2 -0 -0 to
reconsider the VASC Associate nominations from 6/7/16.
On a motion by Berman seconded by Ensminger and approved by a 2 -0 -0 vote. Jeff
Committee.
2018 as Associate members for the Recreation Committee.
2018 as Associate members for the Town Forest Committee.
On a motion by Berman seconded by Ensminger and approved by. a 2 -0 -0 vote, the
following applicants were recommended for terms ending June 30, 2018 for the
boards or committees listed: Joyce Gould - Animal Control Committee; Nancy
Docktor - Board of Health: Richard Holmes - Commissioner of Trust Funds; Pooia
Parsons - Council on Aging; Allison Ullman - Fall Street Faire; Virginia Adam2 -

Conservation Commission
Annika Scanlon appeared and Mr. Berman asked about the composition of the committee.
She stated that members were highly qualified though there had been some. interpersonal

difficulties. My. Berman asked what sort of qualification might be helpful for a new member,
she stated that an engineer or storm water expert would be most helpful. Mr. Berman asked
if communication had improved, and that CONSCOM was working to get to a 'YES' with
applicants, and she replied that they were trying to get to solutions, but were shot
consistently clear with all applicants.
Jamie Maughn appeared and mentioned that about 80% of sites are visited by CONS9M
members as well as the Conservation Administrator. He noted that one member with a
construction background had helped add a new perspective but too often had conflicts of
interest. He stated that rotating the Chair on the committee was important, and added that
he would like to step back to be an Associate member to allow for new applicants.
On a motion by Berman seconded by Ensminaer, Annika Scanlon Was
recommended for a term on CONSCOM ending June 30, 2019 by a 2 -0 -0 vote.
On a motion by Berman seconded by Ensminaer, David Pinette was not
recommended for a term on CONSCOM ending June 30, 2019 by a 1 -1 -0 vote,
Ensminaer voting yes.
On a motion by Berman seconded by Ensminaer, Jamie Mauahn was not
recommended for a term on CONSCOM ending June 30, 2019 by a 1 -1 vote,
Berman voting yes.
On a motion by Berman seconded by Ensminaer, Jamie Maughn was not
recommended for an Associates term on CONSCOM ending June 30, 2018 by a 1 -1
vote, Berman voting yes.
On a motion by Berman seconded by Ensminaer, the committee adjourned at
7:OOom.
