HomeMy WebLinkAbout2004-08-09 Reading Housing Authority MinutesREADING HOUSING AUTHORITY MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL BOARD MEETING, August 9, 2004 An annual business meeting of the Reading Housing Authority was held on Monday, August 9, 2004 at 7:00 P.M at the office of the Reading Housing Authority the town of Reading, Mass. The meeting was called to order at 7:09 P.M. with the Chair, Mary Connors, presiding. Those members present and forming a quorum were Karen Flammia, Diane Cohen, Tim Kelley, and John Coote as well as the Secretary/Executive Director, Lyn Whyte. Minutes Move Tim Second Karen Vote 5 -0 02 -166 VOTED: To accept for the record the Minutes of the Regular Business Meeting of Jun 07, 2004, as presented. Finances Move Tim Second Karen Vote 5 -0 02 -167 VOTED: To approve and sign the checkroll/billroll for the period for Accounts Pa Check #8567 -8709 Payroll Summary as presented for June & July, 2004. Section 8 Voi Program, 9688 -9876, as presented. Section 8 FSS Annual Report Move Tim Second Karen Vote 5 -0 02 -168 VOTED: To approve and authorize submission of the RHA's FSS Report for FYE 20 4 to HUD. Section 8 Payment Standards Move Tim Second Karen Vote 5 -0 02 -169 VOTED: To approve updated Payment Standards per K. Rolli's memo. Effective 10 -01 -04 the RHA 100% of FMR would be: 0 BDR 1 BDR 2BDR 3BDR 4BDR $894 $1058 $1282 $1593 $1777 I Truck Purchase Move Karen Second Tim Vote 5 -0 02 -170 VOTED: To authorize the Executive Director to purchase a truck vehicle from Lawless Jeep of Woburn, MA in accordance with DHCD C.30B procurement process and in an amount not to exceed $23,000.. Pet Waiver- 667 Development Move John Second Karen Vote 5 -0 02 -171 VOTED: To approve and authorize the tenant at #32 -2 to have a cat in accordance with the rules for Pet Ownership promulgated by DHCD and the Reading Housing Authority Pet Policy ,after assurance that all conditions for pet ownership are in place. Replacement of Burner (a) Bancroft Move Tim Second Karen Vote 5 -0 02 -172 VOTED: To authorize Executive Director to expend up to $5000 for 689 Development for replacement of existing oil fired hot water boiler provided that Executive Director obtain three proposals in writing. Real Estate Matter: - 75 Pleasant Street; Updated RFS was presented to board for their review. Per previous comments by RHA members, changes were made. At this time, it is expected that DHCD will advertise for architectural services by end of August with design selection planned for mid October.
