MINUTES OF THE REGULAR BOARD MEETING February 6 2006
A regular business meeting of the Reading Housing Authority was held on Monday, February 6, 2 O6 at
7:00 P.M at the office of the Reading Housing Authority the town of Reading, Mass. The meeting was
called to order at 7:07 P.M. with the Chair, Karen L. Flammia, presiding. Those members present and
forming a quorum were John Coote, Tim Kelley and Mary Connors as well as the Secretary/Executive
Director, Lyn Whyte.

02 -273 VOTED: To accept for the record the Minutes of the Regular Business Meeting of Jan 9,
2006, as presented.

02 -274 VOTED: To approve and sign the checkroll/billroll for the period for Accounts Payable Check
#9693 -9737, Payroll Check Summary as presented for January,2006; Section 8 Voucher Program, 11628-
11722, as presented.

02 -275 VOTED: To certify receipt of monthly operating statements for all RHA programs
month end December, 2005 of the current fiscal year.
Personnel Matters:

Report of Programs:
- Vacancy Report- All units in all programs fully leased as stated in reports presented.
- Sec 8 Report- No official report provided until Qtr. End 03/06. HUD has notified us of stal
funding for federal FY07. We will maintain a 95% lease status with funding remaining about the
as FY06. RHA does not anticipate being adversely affected by this slight change.
- FSS Report — No report provided until Qtr. End 03/06.
- Resident Service Coordinator- Current Tannerville Newsletter provided.

Real Estate Matter:
- Update 75 Pleasant Street: The first official public LIP hearing on this project is scheduled for
Tuesday, March 7 at 8:00pm. Architect, Rick Fenuccio and engineer Kevin Kiernan from Allen &
Major have been notified and are expected to be present at this meeting. Executive Director Tong
with the architect and engineers from Allen & Major met on January 11 1h with Town engineer Joe
Delaney to review site plans and discuss any issues that might arise. All input from this me ting
would be used to prepare RHA engineers for continuing with the project. Overall costs on this pr ject
remain a concern. Consensus of Board is to proceed as far as we can with the designs we hav and
then possibly proceed by preparing our own "RFP" on the project and putting it out to bid.
