HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-11-22 Reading Housing Authority MinutesREADING HOUSING AUTHORITY Minutes of the Special Meeting - 11/22/83 The Reading Housing Authority met in Special Session at 7 :30 P.M. on Tuesday, November 22, 1983, at 22 Frank D. Tanner Dive in the Town of Reading, Massachusetts. Proper notice of this meeting was posted by the Executive Director in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 39 of the General Laws as amended. The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Mr. Dempster. Those members also present were Mrs. Swain, Mr. Westra, and Mr. Dempster, forming a quorum. Mrs. Pierce, the Executive Director and James Muise, the Maintenance Man were also present. Mr. Jeffrey Cook, Architect on the office ex ,pansion project was present to review with the Board, his revised plans based on last month's suggestions. Copies of his Minutes of said meeting were distributed to those present to document the various changes. The revisions made on his new sketches reflected accurately the Authority's wishes and after discussion of a few minor details, Mr. Cook gave a brief recap of the steps that are to be taken from this point and the time table involved. He said that he would bring in the final plans which will be presented to E.C.C.J. for the Board's approval at the January meeting, and from that point on, he estimates that it could be into August before the final completion of the Project. His hopes were, however, that it could be speeded up along the way if possible, and he would do all he could to accomplish the job in a shorter time period. • ".r. Item #2: The Architect presented the revised Site Plan, Elevations, and Floor LW Plans. The Executive Director proposed a sliding window between the Existing Office and th e Proposed Tenant's Area. Item #3: The Attendees felt the "Revised Scheme Alternate - Floor Plan" w s the solution to further refine. Item #4: The Housing Authority proposed investigating the placement of the photocopier in the new office addition. Item #5: The Housing Authority stated that the Tenant's Area did not need a desk. Item #6: The Housing Authority felt the Tenant's Area need only be 5' -0" gide. Seating and Circulation will occur in this space. Item A?: The Housing Authority requested the Air Conditioning be included in this project for the new addition. The Architect will investigate various Air- Conditioning options. Item #8: The Architect reviewed with the Housing Authority the design t construction schedule for this project. Item #9: The Attendees reviewed the vocabulary used for the designation o rooms on the floor plan. Item #10: The Architect will present the Design Development Drawings, Cos for Construction Update, Outline Specification, and Schedule Update for the Housing Authority.
