Minutes Minutes of December 9, 2015 were presented. Docktor made motion to accept, seconded by Shurland. Motion passed 3:0 Minutes of January 20, 2016 were presented. Docktor made motion to accept, seconded by Shurland. Motion passed 3:0 Minutes of February 24, 2016 were presented. Docktor made motion to accept, seconded by Shurland. Friedmann abstained. Motion passed 2:0:1 Monthly Reports DILauro spoke with a representative from Stop & Shop who wanted to report that several employees were ill with Flu like symptoms and in accordance with their Illness policy were sent home. Some employees visited their doctor but no confirmation was provided about any positive virus. Stop & Shop performed sanitation in the areas of food prep, kitchen, rest rooms, and other locations where food contact takes place. Health inspector subsequently performed a full inspection and found proper protocols were followed. An inspection was performed at Bertucci's after a possible food borne Illness complaint; no violations were noted. DiLauro discussed a complaint at a commercial workplace where employees felt ill after smelling the odor of Moxa which was being burned in an adjacent business. Upon further discussion It Is an issue between the landlord and tenant. Page I 1 Game night is being held at the Pleasant Street Center this Thursday. Four participants have signed up. The Library will also be providing games. Swiss Bakers agreed to provide freshly baked snack goods. Casey Mellin was re -hired as a health inspector working 16 hours a week beginning February 22. DiLauro will follow up on Issue of grease on the sidewalk outside of Ristorante Pavarotti. Maureen Buzby, Tobacco Control Coordinator will be invited to next meeting to provide update on new tobacco regulations regarding bans on flavored tobacco products and e- cigarettes. Fusilli's Cucina Michael Palmer, owner of Fusilli's Cucina has inquired about installing an air curtain where three window panels are located at the front left side of the building. The window panels presently are able to slide open. Upon review, this inquiry would appear to meet all the requirements under the health food code; however a health department plan review application is required should he want to proceed. Planning Department would also review any such request. Docktor inquired if the installation of the air curtain would cause any noise Issues. Open session for topics not reasonably anticipated 48 hours in advance of the meeting. Docktor submitted article for review regarding the use of pesticides on lawns and gardens and healthy alternatives. Friedmann received three applications for associate membership to Board of Health. He will review and contact each applicant to inquire about their interests. Meeting adjourned at 7:10 pm.
