notify and warn the inhabitants of said Town who are
qualified to

By virtue of the within warrant, I, on august 30th, 1952
notified and warned the inhabitants of the Town _of Reading quali-
fied to vote in elections and town affairs to meet in the place
and at the time specified by posting an attested copy thereof in
the following places within.said Town:

(a) If a voter desires that this town shall declare by popular
referendum that _a substantial shortage.of housing accommodations exists
which_ requires. the continuance of federal rent _ con.tral _ in_ this town after
September thirtieth., nineteen hundred_ and fifty-two, and until, the close
of April thirtieth, nineteen hundred.and.f.i.fty_-three, in accordance with

State Primary September 16, 1952
the provisions of the Housing and Rent Act of 1947, as amended, he
will vote *YES" on s ai d question
(b) If he desires that federal rent control shall cease to be in
effect in this town at the close of September thirtieth, nineteen
hundred and fifty-two:, he will vote "NO" on sal..d question.
The polls will be open from 7 A. M® to 8 P. M.
And you are directed to serve this warrant-by posting an attested
copy thereof in at least three _public.places.in each of the four pre-
cincts of..the town.not less than seven days prior to September 16,1952,
the date set for the meeting in said warrant and to cause this warrant
to be published in the Reading Chronicle one day at.least prior to
said date.
Hereof fail not and make due return of this warrant with your.doings
thereon to the Town Clerk, at_ or before the time appointed for said
meeting.
