To either of the Constables of the Town of Reading, Greeting: In the name of the Commonwealth you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Reading, qualified to vote in elections and town affairs, to meet in Shepardson Hall., Junior High School, Temple Street, in said Reading on 1 MONDAY the SIXTEENTH'DAY of JUNE, 1952 at eight o'clock in the evening, Daylight Saving Time, to act on the following articles.- . Article 1. To hear and act on the reports of Town Officers and special committees and determine what instructions will be given Town Officers and special committees. Article 2. To see if the Town will vote to accept the provisions of the Trust created in the Tenth Clause of the Willi of the late Arthur N. Mansfield, such Fund when received to be held in Trust for the benefit of the Reading Public Library upon the terms provided therein and to be known as the "Appleton-Mansfield Fund" and to authorize and empower the Town Treasurer to execute for and in behalf of the Town Receipt and such other documents which may be necessary in connection therewith or what it will. do in relation thereto. Board of Selectmen Article 3. To see if the Town will vote to accept the Trust created in the second Paragraph of the Fourth Clause of the Will, of the late Francis E. Appleton providing for Fund of Five Thousand (5000.) Dollars to be held in Trust for the benefit of the Reading Public Library upon the terms provided therein, such Fund to be known as "The Edward Appleton Fund" and to authorize and empower the Town Treasurer to execute for and in behalf of the Town Receipt and such other documents which"may be necessary in connec- tion therewith or what it will. do in relation thereto. Board of Selectmen Article 4. To see if the Town will.vote to acquire by right of eminent domain, purchase, gift or otherwise, 2634,7 square feet of land situated on the Northerly side of Haven Street for a permanent right of way to the Municipal Parking Place situated Westerly of Main Street and shown as a strip of land approximately fifteen feet in width running in a general Northerly direction from Haven Street and designated as Right of Way on Plan of Proposed Municipal Parking Area, Toga of Reading, dated May 1946, H. Kingman Abbott, Surveyor, which Plan is duly recorded with the Middlesex South District Deeds in Book 6933;, Page 87, and to see what sum the Town will transfer from available funds therefor or what it will do in relation thereto. Board of Selectmen Article 5. To ;see what sum the Town will vote to appropriate from available funds and transfer to the Public Welfare Disability .Assis- tance Account, or what it will. do in relation thereto. Board of Public Welfare Article 6. To see what sum the Town will.vote to transfer from available funds and appropriate for the alteration and improvement of one of the Elementary School Buildings by providing for one or more standard classrooms in said school together with such other al- terations and improvements which may be necessary in connection therewith including the drawing of plans and specifications for such alterations and the original equipment and furnishings for the same and to authorize the School Committee to make such alterations and improvements and to contract with respect thereto or what it will do in relation thereto. School: Committee Article 7. To see if the Town will vote to approve under Regu- lation 7, Paragraph (a) of the Wage and Hoar Cl,assif ication. Plan the exception made by the Personnel Board of & junior clerk enter- ing the employ of the Municipal Bight Department and the Public Works Department at a rats greater than the minimum salary estab- lished by the schedule adopted under the chid Plan, or what it will do in relation thereto. And you are directed to serve this Warrant by posting an attested copy thereof in at least three public places in eabh precinct of the Town., not less than seven days prior to June 16, 1952, the date set for the meeting in said 'Warrant, and to publish this Warrant in the Rea-ding Chronicle, one day at leas- prior to said date. Hereof fail not and make due return of this Warrant with your doings thereon to the Tozer. Clerk, at or before the time appointed for said meeting. June 13, 1952 By virtue of this warrant, I on June 7, 1952, notified and warned the inhabitants of the Town of Beading, qualified to vote in elections and town affairs, to meet in Shepardson Hall,Junior High School in said Reading at the time specified as the desig- nated place for the four precincts of the Town, by posting attest- ed copies of this warrant in the following public places within: the Town of Reading: Precinct 1. Austints Lunch Roost., 17 Harnden Street, Central Fire Station, Police Headquarters. Precinct 2. Masonic Temple Building, Lyceum Hall Building, Odd Fellows Building, LT. F. Charles More, 610 Main Street, Boston & Maine R. R. Depot. Precinct 3.Waterhouse's More, 36 Mineral Street, Benny's More,. 168 Lowell. Street; Fire Station, Engine#2 Precinct 4. Municipal Building; Zitzowt s More, 287 Lowell. Street; McLaughlints Store, 1051 Main Street. The date.of posting being more than seven days prior to June 16, 1952, the date set for the meeting in this warrant. I also caused an attested copy of this warrant to be published in the Reacting Chronicle in the issue of June 12, 1952, the same being more than one day.prior to the date of said meeting.
