Fall Street Faire Committee 1016 MAR 28 P iA k$ Date: 2015 -02 -11 Time: 0700 PM Building: Reading Town Hall Location: Berger Room Address: 16 Lowell Street Purpose: General Business Attendees: Members - Present: Leslie Leahy, Sheila Mulroy, Brian Snell, Alison Ulman, Bob Beckman Members - Not Present: Denise Berard Others Present: Kristin Bonazoli, John Feudo, Mike Doyon, Leslie McGonagle, Lisa Deleo, Jon Pedi, Tom O'Connor, Mike Bonnell Minutes Respectfully Submitted By: John Feudo Topics of Discussion: The committee talked to the Chamber of Commerce about their potential role with the Street Faire In 2015. Lisa Deleo mentioned that the Chamber met with the Town Manager In January. The Chamber stated that they were interested in the Street Faire, but needed to raise money to pay for their administrator's salary, therefore if they took over the faire that would be the priority for the revenue. They did not believe that they could also cover the full cost of buying and watering the Flowers with revenues from the Faire. There was a long discussion on what was presented for financials at the meeting with the Town Manager. There seemed to be some confusion on how much revenue the Fall Street Faire brings in each year. J. Feudo stated he would talk with the Town Accountant to get it squared away. S. Mulroy recommended having the Chamber be more involved but not officially take over the event until they are comfortable with the process by which it works. She felt having a slow merge over would be best. S. Mulroy nominated Brian Snell as chairman for the 2015 Faire. L. Leahy seconded the motion. Motion passed in favor of the motion by a vote of 4 -0 -1. B. Snell made a motion to set the date of the 2015 Fall Street Faire as September 13, 2015. S. Mulroy seconded the motion. Motion passed in favor of the Fall Street Faire date by a vote of 5 -0 -0. J. Feudo said he would work on setting up a timeline for the committee to Identify the possibility of using a new website and for constant contact updates. B. Snell recommended inviting the EDC to the next meeting Page 1 1 Town of Reading - Meeting Minutes L. Leahy made a motion to adjourn. S. Mulroy seconded the motion.
