Topics of Discussion:
The meeting was called to order at 7:02 pm in the Arts and Crafts Room of the Pleasant Street Senior
Center. Minutes of the previous meeting were approved.
Treasurer's Report was presented. Everything has been paid out, except for the Reading Art
Association grant In the amount of $500. Current balance is $785.04. The annual report was
completed and submitted. The Treasurer's report was approved.
Donna reported that the acceptance letters have been mailed. We received a Thank You note from
the Antiquarian Society.
Mary Ann will issue a press release for the local papers and the Town websites regarding the grants.
A vote was taken to approve the purchase of 2 Plexiglas stands for poster displays at events we
support. The stands cost about $13.
The LCC Statewide Assembly is taking place Feb. 10, 2016. Norah has signed up to attend. Rose will
try to go as well.
The questionnaire for constituents will not be due until next year, as the requirement is every 3 years.
There was discussion about the Reception for grantees in May. Donna will check room availability for
the Senior Center's Community Room. We discussed including invitations to Town officials, including
the Town Manager, Treasurer, Clerk, Finance Committee members, State legislators, members of Arts
Reading and Matt Wilson of Creative Arts. Invitations will be done electronically, possibly through
Evite. Donna will work on a preliminary design. Rose will compile a list of email addresses. In the
past we have had a video about grant recipient projects and events looping in the background. There
was discussion about trying to come up with an updated video. It was suggested that perhaps a high
school student from the media arts department could undertake this project. It is not likely to have
anything ready for this May, but it would be good for future events.
Norah reported about the Arts Reading meeting she attended at which Matt Wilson talked about ways
to increase our grant money, including Town matching of our State distribution. This was discussed
briefly, along with other ideas about ways to raise funds.

Stephanie Baker of the North Reading LCC was introduced. She wanted to discuss how our LCC
operates and share ideas about our work.
Meeting adjourned at 8:25 pm.
