Singer made motion to accept, seconded by Meade. Motion passed 2:0 Minutes of April 28 were presented. Singer made motion to accept, seconded by Friedmann. Motion passed 3:0 Minutes of May 13 were presented. Friedmann made motion to accept, seconded by Singer Motion passed 3:0 Waiver of Fall Street Faire Permit Fees: Motion made by Friedmann to table until next meeting. Oyes Vitale advised that although some improvement has been made on previous issues, now there are new and different critical violations in the kitchen. She stated that a point person who is ServSafe certified is necessary in the kitchen at all times. The owners are certified, however, they cannot be in the kitchen all the time. Vitale stated if Jose, (present sous chef) were properly trained he could take over and monitor the kitchen. Kevin Ye stated he had contacted a consultant to come in to train the staff. He will provide the name of the consultant. Friedmann requested a plan of action be established requiring Jose to be certified, to Increase the frequency of inspections, and to hire a consultant to train the staff. Meade asked what consequences could be initiated if violations continue to occur. Clay stated that large fines could be issued, a suspension of the permit, or a suspension of part of the operation or non - renewal of the permit were options. Singer stated he felt the Board was being forced to take these actions. Ye stated that he understood. Friedmann made a motion to accept the plan of action, seconded by Meade. Motion passed 3:0 Page 1 1 Discussion of Public Health Nurse Position Clay advised the position has been funded for 32.5 hours. The Town Manager only wants to fund 15 hours. Most communities have a part-time nurse; however, the difference being that those communities have a full time health director. Clay and Jane Burns, Elder Services Administrator met with Jean Delios who discussed the possibility of sharing the services of Dianne Luther, the nurse advocate, to include the duties of the public health nurse. Clay met with Luther but she was not interested in the position. Friedmann requested a copy of the job description for review. The Board would like to meet with the town manager to discuss the position. Other business and items not reasonably anticipated at the time of posting: Clay advised that YMCA summer camp was scheduled to open on June 23 and that it has been extremely difficult to get the required paperwork and facility ready. Clay had met with all camp directors in February and went over in detail all aspects of the requirements. As of the morning of June 19th they had only 4 staff members who were ready. Clay will schedule a meeting with the Director of the YMCA and the camp director. Vitale will be at camp on Monday. Clay advised that Walgreens had closed on Monday, June 16. Clay attended a meeting with View Permit personnel and other health directors to get an update on the progress of food Inspection program. A working product may be available within the next two months. Friedmann made motion to adjourn, seconded by Singer. Meeting adjourned at 7:23 pm.
