Minutes Minutes of October 28, 2015 were tabled. 5 Year Strategic Plan Goals Discussion of top three goals: active living /healthy eating, behavioral health and basic needs of vulnerable populations. The members decided to focus on the basic needs of vulnerable populations. Docktor made motion to focus on the unmet behavioral health needs of the 25 -65 age population; motion seconded by Shurland. Motion passed 3:0. Friedmann will network to see what services are currently available, what other needs can be met and how to better coordinate resources. Flavor Free Tobacco Ban Buzby advised that Melrose, Wakefield and Winchester have adopted changes to their tobacco regulations to prohibit the sale of any Flavored tobacco product or nicotine delivery device except in a retail tobacco store, with the exception of those with the taste or smell of tobacco, menthol or mint. In addition, single cigar sales must have a minimum retail price of $2.50; any multipacks (minimum of 2) must have a minimum retail price of $5.00. Buzby will provide copy of regulation to DiLauro. Valle briefly discussed the hoarding issues she has encountered and will work with the Health Department to try to help those who may need some assistance. One problem is that those who may need assistance refuse to allow entrance to their properties. Page 1 1 Open session for topics not reasonably anticipated 48 hours in advance of the meeting.
