Topics of Discussion:
Board of Health meeting came to order at 5:30 pm on February 24, 2015 in the Berger
Room of Reading Town Hall.
Appointment of Health Director
Meade made motion to appoint Greg Erickson as Health Agent for the Board of Health,
seconded by Friedmann. Motion passed 2:0 Singer not present for vote.
Acceptance of Minutes
Minutes of December 18, 2014 were presented. Meade made motion to approve, seconded
by Friedmann. Motion passed 2:0. Singer not present for vote.
Minutes of January 15, 2015 were presented. Singer made motion to accept, seconded by
Friedmann. Motion passed 2:0.
Staffing
LeLacheur stated that a full time health administrator position could be filled as of July 1,
2015; however, an earlier start date would be acceptable should a candidate become
available. After that position is filled, a public health nurse should be hired to provide
services. Cellos stated the public health nurse In Wilmington may be available in the
interim and the matter will be looked into further. Delios will send a working draft of the
administrator fob description that can be circulated to the Board. Friedmann requested that
a member of the board be allowed to sit in on the hiring process. Erickson expressed using
the MHOA website for posting the two positions. He also suggested the possibility of
utilizing the services of a member of the Medical Reserve Corp. and will research that.

Open session for topics not reasonably anticipated 48 hours in advance of the meeting.
Meade requested the Board draft a letter thanking Ruth Clay for her services to the town.
Friedmann will draft a letter to strategic plan stakeholders thanking them for their input.
When a health director is hired, stakeholders will be invited to meet the new director and be
given a copy of the finalized strategic plan.
Meeting adjourned at 6:45 pm
