Budget No update. Archives No update. VA & JB reviewed 9/28 visit to the property with the Chamberlain's mentioning physical evidence an ell likely being there prior to 1942. A 1939 plot plan found did not show an ell. Mr. Chamberlain stated he remembered being there after the 1938 Hurricane and there was a room there but later in the conversation, that memory seemed questionable. With the only physical evidence found indicating there was no ell even though the RHC was not completely convinced that is was not 116 Lowell a possibility. SRS moved that the structure at 116 Lowell St Street be released from the stay of demolition because owner had made reasonable efforts to locate a purchaser to preserve, rehabilitate or restore said structure with no success. JB seconded the motion and the vote was 3 -0 in favor. CM will send a letter to the building inspector informing him that a permit to demolish can be generated. The RHC thanked the owner DJ for his interest and dedication working with us and to JB and VA for their time and effort. CA & SRS attended a CPDC meeting that the owners did not attend on October 12`h. They shared that Jean Delios made it clear to the owner that they would need to reapply for a 258 Main St demolition permit because the earlier one had expired. There will be a DRT meeting on 10/21 at 9 am that VA & JB pan to attend. Page 1 1 Page 1 2 MF Charles Building Jim Mawn's office has not gotten back to us with another possible date. Cm will contact Kelly at Mawn & Mawn again to Preservatio set a date. n Award Plaque 3 new orders were received and delivered for production. Program These plaques should be ready in a few weeks. 8 Back Bay VA shared the summary she had put together. This will be Court filed in the archives when complete. 186 Summer RHC spoke about Criterion's latest plan and a Historic District meeting scheduled for 10/14 at Coolidge Middle School at 7 Ave m. SRS, CM, JEB plan to attend. CM suggested that the RHC have a booth next year with the Reading hopes of raising awareness of our responsibilities. JW Street Faire suggested that we have some of the Sanborn maps of All Reading to display. Minutes Accepted September 15, 2015 minutes as amended. 3 -0 Submit to LG SRS Adjourned The meeting adjourned at 9:20 pm. Next November 10, 2015 at 7:30 pm. All Meeting Copies of referenced correspondence and documents are kept in Meeting Minutes binder and relevant project folders located in the Reading Historical Commission Archives, lower level of the Reading Town Hall.
