REDFERN OPENED THE MEETING AT 7:00 PM. CASE # 15 -06 The Zoning Board of Appeals held a Public Hearing on the petition of Jack Sullivan, PE, who seeks a Variance, on behalf of the property owner, under Section 6.2.1(b) lot shape of the zoning bylaw in order to subdivide the property into two lots; one buildable and one non - buildable on the property located at 116 Van Norden Road in Reading, Massachusetts. This lot is located in a S -20 District. Mr. Redfern opened the meeting. He stated that the applicant, Jack Sullivan, had requested that the opening of the hearing be postponed until August 20, 2015. He explained this was due to only 4 members being present at this meeting. On a motion by Mr. Caouette, seconded by Mr. Jarema, the Zoning Board of Appeals moved to grant the petitioner his request to postpone the Public Hearing to August 20, 2015. Mr. Jarema explained a petitioner has a right to request a continuance. He clarified the voting process when there are four members present compared to when there are five members present. Vote was 4 -0 -0. (Redfern, Caouette, Jarema, Hagstrom). A resident asked if a decision would be rendered at the August 20th ZBA meeting and Mr. Redfern answered that there potentially could be a decision that night. Page 1 1 MINUTES April 16, 2015 On a motion by Mr. Jarema, seconded by Mr. Hagstrom, the Zoning Board of Appeals moved to approve the April 16, 2015 minutes as amended. Vote was 3 -0 -1 (Caouette, Jarema, Hagstrom in favor, Redfern abstained). May 14, 2015 On a motion by Mr. Caouette, seconded by Mr. Hagstrom, the Zoning Board of Appeals moved to approve the May 14, 2015 minutes as amended. Vote was 3 -0 -1 (Caouette, Jarema, Hagstrom in favor, Redfern abstained). May 21, 2015 On a motion by Mr. Hagstrom, seconded by Mr. Caouette, the Zoning Board of Appeals moved to approve the May 14, 2015 minutes as amended. Vote was 4 -0 -0 (Redfern, Caouette, Jarema, Hagstrom). ADJOURNMENT On a motion made Mr. Caouette, seconded by Mr. Hagstrom, the Zoning Board of Appeals moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:30 p.m. Vote was 4 -0 -0 (Redfern, Caouette, Jarema, Hagstrom).
